once upon a time...

i got married...to the most wonderful man...sigh...

(which isn't at all the point of this post,
but must be said none the less). :)

below are a few pictures of my wedding dress. this was my first genuinely extensive project. i wanted to create something that was uniquely me and that incorporated a bit of nostalgia and history. i was inspired by a piece from my grandmother's trousseau. (it's the piece on the bodice with the covered buttons and hand lacework). absolutely beautiful and of course sentimental. the rest of the dress was simply a modern extension from that piece.
